The club shall consist of a such number of membership categories as the General Committee shall from time to time determine. Membership shall comprise of the following categories:
- Full Members
- Temporary Members
- Honorary Members
- Spouse Members
- Life Members
- Junior Members
- Corporate Members
A Full Member is a Member who is duly elected as such. He or She shall be entitled to all privileges of the Club, to vote at any General Meeting, and or any sub-committee that may be formed, providing that they are fully paid up members.
No other Member, other than a Full Member, shall be qualified to be a member of the General Committee.
A Temporary Member shall be a member whose election has been duly proposed and seconded by at least one Full Member of at least two years’ standing, for a period not exceeding three consecutive months, such election to be confirmed at the next meeting of the General Committee. In special cases, this may be extended for a further period of three months at the discretion of the General Committee.
Temporary Members are not entitled to vote at any General Meeting, and or any sub-committee that may be formed.
The General Committee may elect as Honorary Members distinguished visitors and other persons for such a period as may be determined, who shall not be liable for any entrance fee, subscription fees or levies.
The Names of all Honorary Members shall be entered in a book kept for the purpose by the Secretary and available to all Members at any time.
Honorary Members are entitled to vote at any General Meeting, and or any sub-committee that may be formed.
A spouse of a Member of the Club may use the Club as a Spouse Member, on his nomination, without an election.
Spouse Members are not entitled to vote at any General Meeting, and or any sub-committee that may be formed.
A Life Member is a member who has been a Full Member for a continuous period of not less than Twenty Five (25) years and who has attained the age of sixty-five (65) years and who has been admitted as such by the Board.
Life Members are entitled to vote at any General Meeting, and or any sub-committee that may be formed
A Junior Member is a child of a Full Member, who has been admitted as such, and who has paid the prescribed fee for the time being payable for such junior membership as fixed by the General Committee.
The parents of a Junior Member shall be liable for any damage done to the club property by the aforesaid member and shall be responsible for their good conduct.
Upon reaching the age of Twenty Five (25) years, a Junior Member of the Club shall become eligible to obtaining Full Membership upon application and shall be subject to balloting by the General Committee.
Junior Members are not entitled to vote at any General Meeting, and or any sub-committee that may be formed.
A Corporate Member is any registered institution that is duly elected as such and pays full membership and subscription for its employees. It may from time to time vary the holder of its membership by returning the member’s card and is issued with a new one, as the need arises.
